My experience in the army
Most people will tell you that NS, is a waste of time. I'm not gonna disgree with that. However, as cheesy as this is gonna sound, it'll be the place that you'll meet people who will be you're lifelong friends. When I went in, I had an open mind. NS taught me how to deal with troublesome people and superiors. For the guys, if you have a chance to be a commander, take it. Cause you'll be faced with making choices and have to deal with people from all walks of life and lead them. My time as a 3SG was bittersweet for that very reason. Just try to take something away from the 2 years instead of wasting it away by reporting sick or having a unwilling mind. The more negative your outlook is the harder the entire process becomes.
